Introduction
Hello there! Welcome to my blog, ‘Deeper Than Eczema.’ My name is Trudie, and I am excited to have you here with me.
The purpose of this blog is to extend a helping hand to women dealing with eczema, both physically and mentally, so they can find the support, confidence, and inspiration they deserve.
Eczema is far more than just dry skin and constant moisturizing. It impacts us on multiple levels—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Through my posts, I intend to delve deeper into the experience of living with eczema, offering valuable insights on how to manage it and find effective coping mechanisms. My aim is to boost self-confidence and provide an abundance of inspiration.
The challenges that come with eczema are many; flare-ups, infections, sleepless nights, reliance on creams and steroids, endless visits to GPs and specialists—the list goes on. Beyond the physical aspects, there’s the emotional toll: anxiety and worry about our appearance, self-esteem, and how these factors can impact our relationships, work, and studies. Additionally, dealing with negative comments from others can be disheartening. It doesn’t end there; managing eczema also involves considering factors like nutrition, clothing, soaps, pets, environment, and weather. For those with loved ones facing eczema, the concern extends to finding ways to offer the best support and assistance.
